Medical Device Sales Training Programs: How to Choose
Medical device sales training comes in three formats. Traditional full-time in-person programs run 10–12 weeks at $15,000–$20,000 or more and require putting your job on hold. Hybrid programs run about 8 weeks at roughly half that cost while keeping cadaver lab and field training intact. Online-only courses cost a few hundred to a few thousand dollars and work best as supplemental education, not as a path in from scratch.
What separates a credible program
Three things decide whether training makes you employable: whether you work with real human anatomy, whether your instructors are currently in the industry, and whether the program can show actual placement outcomes.
Everything else is packaging.
